We love mountains

My thoughts and experiences cycling, snowboarding and travelling around the world

Summer in BC, Canada

Too much time was spent riding in summer 2012. Mostly in Fernie but also the following places;

Nelson – This place rocks possibly favourite place for man made trails

Rossland – 7summits is a must, epic fun flowy singletrack

Golden – Bit disappointing, mount 7 is ace otherwise nothing outstanding at the ski resort (did help build the trails as trail crew few years back though!)

Revelstoke – Great local trails up the the national park and beyond scenery is stunning. The town is great with awesome bakery!

Whistler – Great but in small doses just too busy and expensive for me.

Squamish – Gets better each time I visit the old growth forerst trails are phenomenal, riding along fallen trees that were 8 feet wide is unique!

South Chilcotins – Amazing place see my separate blog entry.

Vancouver North Shore – Should be well known to most, big stunts cool temperate rain forest, hard to find the best stuff and I needed a bigger bike!

Vancouver Island – This trip we visited Hornby Island, it has cool network of trails to explore nothing too technical but so fun stuff. Even the singletrack alongside the road was fun.

Here is a selection of my favourite trails in Fernie in a short Go Pro edit;
